Admission
St. Agnes School admits students of any race, religion, color, national and
ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally
accorded or made available to students at the school. The school does not
discriminate on the basis or race, color, national and ethnic origin, in the
administration of educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan
programs, and in the hiring of school personnel.
Non-Catholic students are welcome at St. Agnes School with the understanding
that they accept the philosophy of the Catholic school, participate in religion
classes, and attend school religious activities.
Students transferring from another Catholic, public, or private school will
be accepted on the basis of space availability, academic record, and recommendation
from previous school. New students are not usually accepted into the
eighth grade unless the family has recently moved to the area and the child has previously
been enrolled in a Catholic school.
Acceptance is based on space availability and the following criteria:
1. Children currently enrolled in Saint Agnes School
2. Siblings of children currently enrolled
3. Members of Saint Agnes, Saint Eulalia, or Saint Camillus
parishes
4. Any other Catholic school
5. All other applicants
Screening Process for Kindergarten and First Grade
A screening is required for admittance into Kindergarten and first grade.
After parents submit a registration form, the school will mail a conditional
acceptance letter to the home. Parents are asked to call the school to
make an appointment for a screening. Each screening will take between 10
and 15 minutes and parents may stay with the child.
