How many classes of each grade are in the school?There are two classes of each grade, Kindergarten through grade 8. What is the current enrollment of St. Agnes School?There are about 400 students currently enrolled. Do all the students come from Arlington?The students come from 22 cities and towns. Beyond the basic academic classes, what other programs are offered?Religion, Computer, Art, Music, Physical Education, Investing (grade 7) and Library Are there any foreign languages taught at the school? In what grades?Spanish: Grades K to 6 If a student is on an Individual Education Plan, are there any special education services available?Yes, services are provided by a certified learning disabilities teacher in the Learning Center. Is there a nurse available during the school day?Yes, there is a full time nurse who is available for illness and injury and also conducts health screenings and teaches health classes. Are there any extra-curricular programs or special programs offered at the school?Yes, there is a band program offered after school. Students can take lessons and become members of the beginner or advanced band. Lessons in the recorder are available for grade 3 students. Other instrument lessons begin in grade 4. Seventh and eighth grade students also participate in the annual Quiz Bowl at Malden Catholic High School. This is an academic competition open to all schools, parochial, private and public. The literary luncheon program is designed to connect students with senior citizens by participating in a discussion about a particular book. Other special programs include: Cultural Arts, Courage Curriculum, Student Council and Girl Scouts. Are there any sports programs available to students?Yes, after school sports programs are available for all age groups through Fidelity House, the St. Agnes Parish community center, which offers basketball, flag football, floor hockey, cheering, etc. to the students of St. Agnes School.
